Fishers Fourth Largest Indiana City After Annexation

FISHERS — Fishers is Indiana’s fourth-largest city after a finishing its yearlong annexation of 960 parcels in Southeastern Hamilton County.
In the summer of 2024, the Fishers City Council announced the beginning of the annexation process. It was unanimously affirmed by the council in January.
Area absorbed by the annexation stretches from the Hamilton-Madison-Hancock county lines in the east, Cyntheanne Road, Luxhaven subdivision and Geist Park in the west, Flat Fork Creek Park to Rossana Village in the south and 113th Street to the north.

Fishers already provided sewer services, EMS and fire responses and zoning jurisdiction in the formerly-unincorporated area by way of a contract with Fall Creek Township.
Additional city services are available to residents include Fishers Police Department services, Fishers Engineering, which provides road, sidewalk and bridge engineering and Fishers Parks programming with facility discounts.
Later in the year, snow removal, pothole and road repair will become available, along with right-of-way maintenance. In January 2026, services such as stormwater and trash pickup will become available.
