On May 21, a Rochester Police officer responded to a report of a woman locating a one-year-old outside by themselves. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the woman, who said she was driving when the child walked out into the road in front of her.
Officers walked to a nearby residence with an open interior door. According to court documents, when officers approached the residence, Carlson ran out of the home and said a child was missing. She said she didn’t realize other children in the home had left the residence’s door open when they left for school.
