Warsaw Moves High School Commencement Indoors
News Release
WARSAW — Because of the weather forecast, Warsaw Community Schools has decided to move the Class of 2025 commencement ceremony indoors to the Tiger Den.
The ceremony will still take place at 7 p.m. Friday, May 30, but the location has been moved from Fisher Field to the Tiger Den Gymnasium inside Warsaw Community High School.
School officials said in a news release that the decision was “not an easy call” because many families and graduates look forward to an outdoor graduation experience. However, the school’s “top priority is the safety and comfort” of students, their families and staff, school officials said, and, “We believe this decision is in everyone’s best interest.”
Gates will open at 6 p.m. Each graduate will still be able to use their full allotment of eight tickets, and all attendees — including children — will need a ticket to enter.
Guests may enter the building through two designated entrances: the front main entrance to Warsaw Community High School or the north and south gym entrances near the athletic office on the back side of the building. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for seating and to carpool if possible, as parking near the building will be limited.
For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be live-streamed on the Warsaw Community Schools YouTube channel at: youtube.com/@WarsawCommunitySchools/streams.
