Mantis Skate Park Kicks Off Season With Party May 17

WARSAW — The community is invited to come celebrate opening day at Mantis Skate Park, a fully supervised, family-friendly‬ †skate destination where fun is for all ages.‬
The free opening day celebration will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at Mantis Skate Park, 400 Little League Drive, Warsaw.

To kick off the skate season, the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department is offering giveaways, including door prizes,‬ †goodie bags, two signed Tony Hawk prints, Jimmy John’s subs, a fun photo backdrop and‬ â€more. Food and goodies are for participants only and will be available while supplies‬†last.‬

Thanks to the K21 Health Foundation, the park features the Rhino Ramp‬ †System. The park welcomes skateboards, scooters and inline skates. Helmets are required for safety.
All skaters must have an annual waiver and emergency contact form on‬ †file to participate. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the form. These can‬ †be completed online on the parks department’s website at warsaw.in.gov/225/Mantis-Skate-Park or in‬ †person at the parks office. Filling out the form before you arrive at the skate park is recommended.
