Greg Kester
Gregory “Greg” Kester passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Mason’s Health and Rehab, in Warsaw.
Greg was born on Nov. 30, 1963, in Warsaw, to Clyde T. Kester and Geneva Stucker.
On July 6, 2002, Greg married Mary Barr in Warsaw.
Greg was a self-employed entrepreneur known around town as Greg & Mary Kester, who specialized in home estate clean-outs and maintained a booth at Goodliving Market in Warsaw. He had a deep appreciation for antiques and took great pride in repurposing and refurbishing old furniture, especially his own creations. He enjoyed woodworking the most. Along with reclaiming wood, he enjoyed finding pieces to refurbish on all his antiquing adventures.
Gregory cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren above all else. He also shared a special bond with his cats and found joy in their companionship.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; his daughters, Tristen Barr, and her husband, Stephen Walsh, of Claypool, and Rose Kester, of Fort Wayne; and his beloved grandchildren, Ariel, Matthew, Hazel and Tucker. They affectionately called him “Opa,” the German word for grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother and sister-in-law, Thurl S. (Janet) Kester.
May his memory bring comfort to his family and friends.
