GOSHEN — The Downtown Wabash Farmers Market will launch its 18th season Saturday, May 10, offering locally sourced goods and family-friendly activities in the Honeywell Center-Elks Parking Lot at 275 W. Market St.
The market, hosted by Downtown Wabash, Inc., a nationally-accredited Main Street organization, will run 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday through Sept. 27. This year marks the debut of new events manager Mikka Hunt, who expressed enthusiasm for the expanded market footprint and vendor lineup.

“We’re so excited to kick off the season,” Hunt said. “Partnering with the Honeywell Center allows us to accommodate more than 50 vendors each weekend.”
Attendees can expect a wide array of handmade, homemade and homegrown products, including fresh produce, meats, dairy, baked goods, artisan items, plants and homegoods. Beyond shopping, visitors can enjoy live music, food trucks, children’s activities, demonstrations and a pet-friendly environment.
“This will be the first market I’ve helped coordinate alongside Mikka, and I’m excited to see the community’s support,” said Shane Waters, executive director of Downtown Wabash, Inc. “We’re aiming to bring something special every weekend this season.”

The market supports small businesses and local entrepreneurs from Northeast, North Central and Northwest Indiana. According to the American Express 2022 Small Business Economic Impact Study, 68 cents of every dollar spent at a small business remains in the local community.
The market also participates in the Double Up Indiana program, allowing SNAP/EBT customers to earn up to $20 in daily incentives for purchasing fruits and vegetables.
