Milford Man Arrested For Allegedly Killing Pet Turkey

MILFORD — A Milford man was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing a pet turkey.
Andrew Jordan Nicolai, 30, 105 W. Emeline St., Milford, is charged with cruelty to an animal, a level 6 felony; theft, a class A misdemeanor; and criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor.
On March 2, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to an incident at a Milford residence. A man said Nicolai shot his pet turkey. The turkey’s owner located the deceased turkey stuffed in a concrete pile in a field.
Upon arrival, the deputy spoke with a neighbor who saw Nicolai in a yard with a weapon. According to court documents, Nicolai walked into a field, moved the turkey from the field into a yard, and shot the turkey. The incident was captured on video.
Nicolai has already been arrested and released on bond.
