Illinois Man Arrested In Kosciusko County On Drug Charges

ATWOOD — An Illinois man was arrested in Kosciusko County for possessing over 30 grams of a fentanyl-containing substance.
Raekwon A. Riley, 25, Bolingbrook, Ill., is charged with dealing in a narcotic drug, a level 2 felony; possession of a narcotic drug, a level 3 felony; and possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.
On April 23, an Indiana State Police trooper saw a speeding vehicle near Atwood and pulled it over, identifying Riley as the driver. A K9 unit at the scene alerted to illegal drugs inside the vehicle.
According to court documents, upon searching the vehicle, officers found marijuana. While searching Riley’s person, officers found a pouch containing 38 grams of a fentanyl-containing substance.
The pouch was packaged in a way that was allegedly intended for distribution.
Riley has already been arrested and released on bond.
