Silver Lake Man Arrested For Allegedly Battering Woman

SILVER LAKE — A Silver Lake man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman.
John Henry Parker, 54, 5164 W. Corly Lane, Silver Lake, is charged with domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor; and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and domestic battery with a prior conviction, both level 6 felonies.
On April 23, officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office and Warsaw Police Department responded to a battery report at a Warsaw residence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a woman, who said Parker hit her arm with a closed fist and her forehead with an empty plastic bottle.
According to court documents, the woman said the incident occurred at a Silver Lake residence. Officers noticed two very large abrasions on the woman’s right upper arm and two contusions on her forehead.
Parker allegedly told police he verbally argued with the woman and that the incident turned physical.
Parker has a prior domestic battery conviction in Kosciusko County.
Parker was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on April 23.
