News Release
WARSAW — The Orthopedic Hospital is up and running with its newest MRI technology service at the surgery center.
The Orthopedic Hospital has invested in a platform that has the most up-to-date software packages in the area, according to the hospital, offering the latest in motion correction technology for cleaner and faster imaging.
“We are excited to announce the expansion of our presence in the Warsaw community, with additional convenient locations for MRI services and a comprehensive campus dedicated to orthopedic and spine care,” said Amy Hochstetler, chief administrative officer of The Orthopedic Hospital.
The new scanner has a large bore size of 70 cm, which is helpful for those concerned about tight spaces. It can also accommodate patients up to 450 pounds. The scanner also has the most advanced software for “metallic artifact reduction,” which should give the patients with implanted orthopedic metal the cleanest looking image.
Noise canceling-headphones are offered to patients with internet radio to enhance comfort and patient experience.
The advancements lead The Orthopedic Hospital’s ability to deliver orthopedic and spine care, from diagnosis through treatment and recovery.
“This is an investment within Lutheran Health Network to expand access to care for our community,” said Chad Towner, chief executive officer at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. “MRI is an important service we continue to provide at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital and with the addition of the newest MRI at The Orthopedic Hospital, our community will have more access to high quality care close to home.”
