SIDNEY — A Columbia City man was flown to the hospital after a motorcycle wreck southwest of Sidney on Saturday, April 12.

Jonathan S. Harper, 37, East Jefferson Street, was taken to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne by Lutheran Air after the accident, which happened at 2:32 p.m. Saturday.

The wreck was on SR 14, east of South Packerton Road, Silver Lake.

According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office accident report, Harper was traveling eastbound on SR 14 on a Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic motorcycle.

Harper said while descending a hill on his motorcycle the rear wheel locked up, causing him to lose control and be ejected.

Harper had significant head, arm and leg injuries. Damage is reported up to $10,000.
