Area Police Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 11:51 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 500 block East Acorn Drive, Warsaw. Officers investigated a report of invasion of privacy.
- 9:04 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 600 block North Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Officers investigated a report of invasion of privacy.
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incident:
- 5:50 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 18000 block Saker Court, New Paris. Keshia Humes reported someone threw food and condiments at her house.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 2:20 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 5500 block CR 150S, Akron. Two cows were reported in the roadway. Contact was made with the possible owner, who was out of town. The owner will attempt to contact someone to check the fence. Officers reported the cows were back in the pasture and there was a break in the fence. The animals are now secure.
- 8:43 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 1600 block Old US 31, Rochester. A break in was reported, nothing was found missing at that time.
- 10:11 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, North US 31 and East CR 50N, Rochester. Fulton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle stopped in traffic due to battery issues. Officer’s attempted to use a battery pack and called Wilson’s towing to assist in moving the vehicle to the Walmart parking lot.
- 9:17 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, East Ninth Street and Ewing Road, Rochester. Police noticed a small vehicle driving recklessly on the roadway with no headlights.
- 5:49 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 700 North SR 19, Akron. Fulton County Sheriff’s Office took one man into custody after a caller working on the residence noticed the shed and residence had been broken into. Officer’s contacted the neighbors for camera footage.
- 5:17 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, South US 31 and CR 50E, Rochester. Fulton County Sheriff’s Office stopped to assist a vehicle in the left center median. Officer’s said they detained one man and transported two people after they smelled marijuana from the car and requested backup for a vehicle search.
- 4:27 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2000 block of Sweetgum Road, Fulton County. Two men were questioned by Fulton County Sheriff Officers after entering the office lobby smelling of marijuana. One of the men admitted admitted to smoking previously coming into the station. The officer confiscated a THC vape one.
- 3:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, South SR 25 and CR 900S, Rochester. Officer’s pursued a vehicle driving recklessly near Fulton. Officer’s reported the driver was passing unsafely and pulled into a residence in the 8000 block of South SR 25, Rochester.
- 3:43 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, West Seventh Street, Rochester. Rochester Police Department gave transportation services to a juvenile from the Fulton County Public Library.
- 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 1500 block East Lucas Street, Rochester. Officers were asked to retrieve a laptop from a female they had hired. Company officials were not able to contact the female. They later called and reported the laptop was returned.
- 9:57 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2000 block Sweetgum Road, Rochester. Fulton County Sheriff Officer’s spoke with a man who claimed his worker drove a company vehicle home the night before and he had not been able to contact him since. Officer’s are reaching out to the worker.
- 1:14 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2000 block Sweetgum Road. Officers were notified by a man living out of the county that he was being threatened by someone in Fulton County. An officer advised him of his options.
- 6:46 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 5300 block Wabash Street. Police were notified that a house was robbed several days ago and that a foot locker, a few bicycles, a security camera were taken from the residence and boxes removed from the garage. A fire extinguisher was discharged in the house.
