Area Easter Egg Hunts Start This Weekend

WARSAW — Area Easter egg hunts start this weekend, with Bourbon’s being first this evening.
Others follow on Saturday, April 12, and next week.

Akron
- The Akron Chamber of Commerce is having an Easter egg hunt from 10:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 19, at Pike Memorial Park in town. There will be more than 6,000 eggs and prizes, with a visit from the Easter Bunny and a spring petting zoo. Kids will hunt by age groups at the following times: ages 0-3, 11:30 a.m.; ages 4-6, 11:35 a.m.; ages 7-9, 11:40 a.m.; and ages 10-12, 11:45 a.m.
Atwood
- Atwood Otterbein Church, 306 E. Main St., will host its annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 12. It will start at 1 p.m. The church women’s group, Sisterhood in Faith, welcomes kids to the hunt, with a visit from the Easter Bunny also to occur.
Bourbon
- Faith First Fellowship Church is hosting a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt on the Triton High School football field on Friday, April 11. Registration will be at 7 p.m., with door prizes announced at 8 p.m. and the hunt at 8:30 p.m. Age groups hunting will be 0-3; 4-6; 7-9; and 10-12. There will also be pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Clunette
- Clunette United Methodist Church, 4227 W. 600N, Leesburg, has a community Easter party and egg hunt from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16. Younger kids will hunt eggs while the older kids will do a scavenger hunt. There will also be pizza and treats, crafts and games.
Fulton
- The Fulton-Liberty Lions Club is having an Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Liberty Township Park. People should meet at the pavilions, with the hunt being at the ball fields and playground. Kids will hunt in four age groups: ages 0-3; ages 4-5; ages 6-8; and ages 9-12. Those who get $5 prizes will have their pictures taken. People should be sure to leave the plastic eggs in totes after they’re done.
Etna Green
- The Etna Green Lions Club is hosting an egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Heritage Park.
Kewanna
- The Kewanna-Union Township Public Library and James F. Talbott VFW Post 1121 will host their annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12. It will be followed by Easter games and storytime hosted by the Teens N Tweens. Children ages 2-12 are welcome to attend. Prizes will be awarded. The hunt will be held on the library lawn at 210 E. Main St.
Ligonier
- The Ligonier Parks Department is having an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. sharp Saturday, April 19, for ages 2-11 at Kenney Park. There will be prizes given away.
Mentone
- The Mentone Chamber of Commerce is having an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19. It will be at First Baptist Church, 206 S. Oak St., due to construction at Mentzer Park.
Milford
- The Kiwanis Club of Milford has an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 19. Due to construction at Milford Elementary School, the activity will be held on the south side of the school in the playground by the circle drive. The Easter Bunny will arrive at 10 a.m. to hand out candy and be present for photos. Children through third grade may participate and should bring a container for their eggs.
Nappanee
- The Nappanee Rotary Club is hosting a community Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at the Callander Sportsplex, 1655 Thompson Drive, for ages 0-9.
New Paris
- The New Paris Lions Club is hosting an Easter egg hunt and bike giveaway at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at New Paris Elementary School. There will be 4,000 eggs for toddlers through sixth graders to hunt.
North Manchester
- The North Manchester Parks and Recreation Department has a community Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at Warvel Park. Kids will hunt in the following age groups: toddlers; pre-K and kindergarten; first and second grades; third and fourth grades; and fifth and sixth grades.
North Webster
- The North Webster Lions Club has an Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. sharp, Saturday, April 19, at the North Webster ball diamonds. It will be divided among four age groups: toddlers; preschool and kindergarten; grades 1-3; and grades 4 and 5. The age limit is up to 12 years old. The event includes hard-boiled eggs as well as plastic eggs for cash or special prizes. Eggs are provided by Creighton Brothers LLC.
- North Webster Church of God has its annual community Easter egg hunt at Camp Crosley, 165 EMS T2 Lane, at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19. There will be more than 20,000 eggs for children to find in hunts for four age groups. There will also be a visit from the Easter Bunny, a petting zoo, a prize tent, doughnut holes and hot chocolate. People may arrive starting at 9:30 a.m.
Pierceton
- Harvest Community Church, 512 S. Seventh St., Pierceton, has a community-wide Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 19. The event starts at noon with crafts provided by Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, followed by the hunt at 1 p.m.
Rochester
- St. John Lutheran Church has an egg hunt from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 12, for ages 3-12. There will also be crafts and lunch.
- Life Care Center of Rochester is hosting an Easter egg hunt at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12. Kids ages 10 and under may hunt in three age groups, with prizes for each.
- Hickory Creek at Rochester will give out candy-filled eggs to anyone who stops by starting at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 18. Treats are available while supplies last.
- Fulton County REMC’s student board is putting on an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. The Easter Bunny will also be present for photos.
Silver Lake
- The Silver Lake Lions Club has its 41st annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 12. The hunt starts at 11 a.m. sharp at the Silver Lake School grounds. There will be five age groups for participants: 0 to 1; 2 to 3; 4 to 6; 7 to 9; and 10 through sixth grade. Prizes will be awarded in each age group. Families are reminded they must bring their own containers. In case of rain on April 12, the Easter egg hunt will move to Saturday, April 19, at the same location and same time. South Whitley
- An egg hunt is set for noon Saturday, April 19, at the South Whitley Youth League fields. There will be prizes given out.
Syracuse
- An Easter egg hunt is set for Saturday, April 12, at Lakeside Park in Syracuse. Kids will hunt in the following age groups at the following times: ages 0-3, 10 a.m.; ages 4-6, 10:30 a.m.; and ages 7-10, 11 a.m. Each child that returns the eggs will receive a treat. Three golden eggs will be hidden for each age group, with kids getting a special prize. Kids should bring their own Easter baskets.
- The Sanctuary of Syracuse, 10121 SR 13, is hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. There will be food, fun, games and an egg hunt.
Warsaw
- The Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department is having an Easter egg scavenger hunt at city parks from Monday, April 14, to Thursday, April 17. During those dates, 20 white eggs will be hidden at each of the city’s parks. People may bring those in to the parks’ office at 123 E. Fort Wayne St. to get a prize. There will also be one golden egg hidden at a city park for an extra special prize. The office is open 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. that week, and closed from 1-1:30 p.m. for lunch.
- Morning Star Foursquare Church, 2506 SR 15, is having a community Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19.
- Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church is having a community Easter egg hunt from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Central Park. Along with 10,000 eggs, there will be free refreshments, balloon entertainment by “The Magical Balloon Guy” team, a scavenger hunt in the Biblical gardens, and more. The first hunt kicks off at 1:45 p.m., with the rest of age groups going in 15-minute increments. Register for the free event at https://www.warsaweasteregghunt.com/.
Winona Lake
- The “Egg My House” FUNdraiser for Winona Lake Limitless Park is returning for Easter 2025. Through it, homes in Warsaw or Winona Lake will be “egged” with candy and toy-filled plastic eggs. The goodies will be put out the evening of people’s choice, either Friday, April 18, or Saturday, April 19. People may have the items placed in a basket at front doors or hidden in yards for an additional fee. The cost is $30 for 25 eggs, $50 for 50 eggs and $75 for 100 eggs.
