Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 7:53 a.m. Thursday, April 10, East Stanton Road, east of EMS T25 Lane, Leesburg. Driver: Wyatt Paro, 37, East Lakeview Trail, Leesburg. Paro’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:09 a.m. Thursday, April 10, North CR 400W, south of West CR 800N, Leesburg. Driver: Jesse L. Miller, 31, West CR 700N, Leesburg. Miller’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 4:17 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, West CR 300N, west of Shelden Street, Warsaw. Driver: Lyndon R. Yoder, 50, West CR 100N, Warsaw. An 8-year-old boy said he was dared by other kids to jump in front of Yoder’s vehicle. The boy suffered a side abrasion. Damage under $1,001.
- 2:29 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, Lakewood Hill Drive, at Miner Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Carolyn S. Hoffman, 85, Baythorne Drive, Warsaw; and Leslie R. Hepler, 69, Baythorne Drive, Warsaw. Hoffman reversed her vehicle to allow another vehicle to pass on. Her vehicle hit Hepler’s. Damage up to $5,000.
- 6:09 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, SR 15, south of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Mitchell J. Sallmen, 31, Deer Crossing Trail, Elkhart; and Michael W. Denbo, 66, Condit Street, Huntington. Sallmen didn’t see Denbo’s vehicle’s turn signal and hit Denbo’s vehicle with his. Damage up to $10,000.
- 9:05 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2280 N. Sunset Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Luis H. Perez, 20, East Smith Street, Warsaw. The brakes on Perez’ vehicle failed. His vehicle hit a light pole and flag pole while trying to park. Damage up to $25,000.
- 1:58 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 212 Sophie Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Tristin E. Frey, 21, North Main Street, Kendallville. Frey sideswiped a parked vehicle. She then accidentally drove into the same vehicle she sideswiped. Damage up to $5,000.
- 10:27 p.m. Friday, April 4, access road at Culver’s, 852 Parker St. Drivers: Rodrigo Hernandez, 29, East Beer Road, Milford; and Janet A. Jones, 66, 13th Street, Winona Lake. Hernandez didn’t see Jones’ vehicle, causing a collision. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:02 p.m. Friday, April 4, US 30 off Ramp H, at SR 15, Warsaw. Drivers: Gregory A. Thornsbury, 59, Hartzler Street, Warsaw; and Betty L. Slusher, 76, West Wayne Street, Pierceton. Thornsbury’s vehicle collided into Slusher’s while trying to turn. Damage up to $5,000.
- 4:46 p.m. Thursday, April 3, East Market Street, at South Maple Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Justin R. May, 34, West CR 200S, Warsaw; and Faith A. Wagoner, 49, West CR 900S, Claypool. May said his view was obstructed by a van and he didn’t see Wagoner’s vehicle, causing a collision. Damage up to $5,000.
- 1:43 p.m. Thursday, April 3, SR 15 and Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Charlotte N. Morts, 88, Gussie Court, Warsaw; and Katelyn L. Witte, 20, US 6, Corunna. Morts disregarded a red light, causing a collision. Damage up to $5,000.
- 1:30 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2519 E. Center St., Warsaw. Driver: Preston A. Daniels, 39, Colonial Creek Court, Wentzville, Mo. Daniels’ trailer hit a parked vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
- 5:58 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw. A man said someone hit his vehicle while he was in Walmart. Damage up to $5,000.
