3 Children Dead After Two-Vehicle Accident South Of Bremen

BREMEN — Three children were killed after a two-vehicle accident south of Bremen on Wednesday morning, April 9.
According to a Marshall County Sheriff’s Office press release, the accident occurred at 8:01 a.m. on Fir Road, near the intersection of 4th Road.
Preliminary investigation states a 2016 Mercedes Benz GLA driven by a 17-year-old individual was traveling south on Fir Road when it rear-ended a small horse-drawn cart being pulled by a single horse/pony. Three children were riding on the cart at the time of the accident. All three children were ejected from the cart and declared deceased at the scene.
This accident is still under investigation.
Assisting agencies include the Bremen Police Department, Indiana State Police, Bremen Fire Department, Tri-County EMS, Marshall County Coroner’s Office and the Marshall County Highway Department.
