Staff Report

Timothy Allen Reichenbaugh Jr.
COLUMBIA CITY — A Wabash man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman and child in Whitley County.
Timothy Allen Reichenbaugh Jr., 35, 636 Crown Hill Court, Wabash, is charged with domestic battery resulting in bodily injury to a person under the age of 14, a level 5 felony; and criminal confinement and domestic battery committed in the presence of a child, both level 6 felonies.
On March 23, Columbia City Police officers responded to a report of a woman being dragged into a residence by a man. Officers went to the location and spoke with Reichenbaugh, who said nothing happened.
According to court documents, Reichenbaugh said a couple of the woman’s relatives came to the residence and harassed him. He also denied dragging the woman to the apartment. Officers noticed Reichenbaugh was exhibiting signs of intoxication.
At the residence, officers noticed a child at the home with noticeable marks on the left side of their face. The child had a long red mark down their left cheek and a puffy knot under their left eye. Officers also noticed the woman had a bruise and knot in the middle of her forehead.
The child said Reichenbaugh hit them. Two other children were also present in the home during the incident.
The woman’s relatives said they came to the home and that Reichenbaugh threatened to fight them. When the woman came to the residence’s door, Reichenbaugh allegedly grabbed the woman by her waist and pulled her back into the home.
Reichenbaugh has already been arrested and released on bond. He has a pretrial conference at 10 a.m. Monday, April 28, in Whitley County.
