Ethan Daniel Colvin
WARSAW — A Wabash man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman.
Ethan Daniel Colvin, 24, 1312 Helms Drive, Wabash, is charged with domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On March 22, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a fight. A woman said she was at the Time Out Inn in Warsaw when Colvin grabbed her face and yelled at her.
According to court documents, after leaving the establishment, Colvin threw a fan at the woman, with the fan hitting the woman’s leg. The woman also alleged Colvin picked her up and threw her onto a bed. Deputies noticed the woman had redness and markings on her leg, elbow, and wrist. She also had swelling above her right knee.
Deputies spoke with a witness who recorded audio of the incident. The woman called the witness during the altercation and left the line open. In the call, the woman could be heard telling Colvin to stop and not put his hands on her.
Colvin told police he argued with the woman and grabbed her face, but that nothing major occurred. He said he threw the fan but did not purposefully throw it at the woman.
Colvin has already been arrested and released on his own recognizance. He has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, in Kosciusko Superior Court Two.
