Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 12:02 p.m. Monday, March 24, South CR 400E, at East CR 800S, Claypool. Driver: James L. Sturgill, 40, North CR 950E, North Webster. The rear tire on a trailer on Sturgill’s vehicle left the roadway. This caused Sturgill’s vehicle to leave the roadway entirely and overturn. Sturgill complained of left bicep pain, but declined treatment at the scene. Sturgill’s vehicle was hauling a trailer full of trash on his way to a landfill. This caused significant damage to property belonging to Lucas Champion, including the loss of several trees and shrubs. Damage up to $50,000.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 1 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, East CR 1300N and SR 15, Milford. Driver: Dayra Gonzalez Cardenas, 25, Detroit Street, LaPorte. Cardenas’ vehicle brakes failed, causing the vehicle to enter a ditch. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:28 p.m. Thursday, March 20, SR 15 and Section Street, Milford. Driver: Joshua Colman, 38, South Packerton Road, Warsaw. Colman swerved his vehicle to avoid another that failed to yield and his vehicle struck a fire hydrant. Damage up to $10,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 3:52 Wednesday, March 19, North SR 13 and East CR 500N, North Webster. Drivers: Ashley A. Shrock, EMS B3B Lane, Leesburg; and Aaron M. Mueller, Hillcrest Drive, Carmel. Shrock’s vehicle hit the back of Mueller’s, then she kept driving. John A. Madonis, 68, a passenger in Mueller’s vehicle, complained of back and neck pain. Damage up to $50,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Lindsey Tomblin, 61, EMS D18B, Syracuse. Tomblin crashed his vehicle into another while backing out of a parking lot space. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 12:48 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 3865 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Mary C. Parr, 75, Avalon Court, Winona Lake. Parr hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle in a parking lot. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:29 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw. Drivers: Alfonso Canchola, 60, North CR 175E Lot 92, Warsaw; and Chelsea M. Walden, 34, Heron Boulevard, Warsaw. Canchola was backing his vehicle from a parking space when he hit Walden’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:30 a.m. Sunday, March 23, SR 15, at Plaza Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Jama J. Gaerte, 50, West Lakeside Drive, North Manchester. Gaerte’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:24 p.m. Saturday, March 22, East Smith Street, east of South Wood Street, Warsaw. Driver: Adam M. Wood, 45, Fairlane Drive, Warsaw. Wood said he could not recall the accident, with the last thing he remembered being traveling south on North Detroit Street. A witness said Wood’s vehicle hit a Nipsco pole. Wood was assessed at the scene by medics due to his memory lapse. Damage up to $25,000.
- 8:28 p.m. Friday, March 21, SR 15, north of Boydston Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Chelsea S. McIntire, 33, Andrea Drive, Floyds Knobs; and Tammy R. Grant, 63, North CR 650W, Etna Green. McIntire’s vehicle rear-ended Grant’s. Damage up to $10,000.
- 11:24 a.m. Friday, March 21, East US 30, west of Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Xavier D. Head, 18, South 1st Street, Guttenberg, Iowa; and Elizabeth A. Dausman, 69, North CR 1000E, Pierceton. Head’s vehicle rear-ended Dausman’s. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:07 a.m. Friday, March 21, US 30, at East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Arnold G. Booker, 45, Beech Street, Valparaiso; and Jorge A. Eqsuivel Solorio, 34, Kelso Lane Lot 180, Fort Wayne. Booker’s vehicle rear-ended Eqsuivel Solorio’s. Booker complained of minor back pain and Eqsuivel Solorio complained of minor neck pain. Both drivers declined medical treatment. Damage up to $25,000.
- 6:18 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 1200 US 30, Warsaw. Driver: unknown. A vehicle was parked and unoccupied when it sustained damage from an unknown driver. Damage up to $2,500.
- 11:06 a.m. Thursday, March 20, North SR 15, at Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Tara R. Heitmeyer, 20, Miller Drive, Ottoville, Ohio; and Margaret A. Schmidt, 22, East CR 125S, Akron. Heitmeyer was attempting to change her lane of travel when she sideswiped Schmidt’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:36 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 727 SR 15, Warsaw. Driver: Sara L. Hollar, 40, West CR 600N, Leesburg. Hollar’s vehicle hit the concrete base of a light pole in a parking lot. Damage up to $25,000.
