Two Syracuse Women Arrested On Drug Charges

NORTH WEBSTER — Two Syracuse women were arrested after officers found drugs inside a vehicle.
Hayle Nicole Doty, 36, 44 EMS D24B Lane, Syracuse, is charged with possession of a narcotic drug, possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a syringe, and counterfeiting, all level 6 felonies; resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; and possession of a narcotic drug with enhancing circumstances and possession of methamphetamine with enhancing circumstances, both level 5 felonies.
Robin Michelle Smith, 40, 13509 N. Warner Road, Syracuse, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On Nov. 23, 2024, North Webster Police officers responded to a report of a woman sleeping in a vehicle outside of a business. The vehicle was registered to one of Doty’s relatives. At the time, officers were aware Doty had a warrant for her arrest.
According to court documents, Smith was identified as the woman sleeping in the vehicle. Doty was inside a local business and handcuffed.
Once outside the business, Doty attempted to run and flee from officers, but was apprehended. Both women said there were drugs inside the vehicle and a K9 unit positively alerted to drugs.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers found counterfeit money, syringes, drug paraphernalia, heroin, meth, and Narcan.
Doty admitted to using meth, heroin, and fentanyl. Smith told police Doty picked her up and they drove to a parking lot to use meth.
Doty was previously convicted of dealing meth in Marshall County in July 2019.
Doty has already been arrested and released on bond. Smith was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on March 19, 2025.
