Milford Public Library — Make Indiana Your Travel Destination This Summer

MILFORD — Free copies of the 2025 Official Indiana Travel Guide, Indiana Festival Guide and Outdoor Recreation Guide are now available at the Milford Public Library. Make Indiana your travel destination this summer. Explore some great attractions, including museums, county and state parks, vineyards and breweries, excellent food venues, entertainment of all kinds and especially good, old-fashioned Hoosier hospitality. These booklets are available for pick-up just inside the south entrance next to the community table.
About Your Library
This week, have fun and check out the INSPIRE website. INSPIRE is Indiana’s Lifelong Learning Library for Hoosiers. INSPIRE is a collection of online academic databases and other information resources that can be accessed by Indiana residents. Are you learning a new language? Use the Rosetta Stone resource through INSPIRE, which allows full and free access to nine languages. Do you need guidance building a resume? Enjoy free access to EBSCO Learning with their job and career accelerator selection.
Adult Reading Program Ending Soon
For those who have signed up and have been participating in the Adult Reading Program, don’t stop reading just yet. You have until March 31 before the program comes to a close. You still have chances to read and win prizes. E-books, audiobooks and even personal books you own are all eligible for the program.
Spring Story Time Coming Soon
With the winter season ending, Winter Story Time finished on March 12. Spring Story Time is available for sign-up now. Spring Story Time is set to start April 16 and will run until May 21. Join in at the Milford Public Library for story time in the children’s department. They will have sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and, of course, all children ages 3-6 are invited to participate. Story time lasts about 45 minutes. There are wonderful stories to listen to, crafts to make and snacks to share. Make sure to join in this April as story time resumes.
Find Unity In Diversity
Beginning this week marks the start of the Holi festival. The Holi festival is meant for celebrating love and unity as well as marking the arrival of spring. At the Milford Public Library, find new books on the arrival of spring, such as “Spring Fever” by Mary Kay Andrews, “Goddess of Spring” by P. C. Cast and “When Comes the Spring” by Janette Oke. Listen to Spring audiobooks such as “Upon a Spring Breeze” by Kelly Irvin, “The Hope of Spring” by Wanda E. Brunstetter or “Come the Spring” by Julie Garwood. Find a spring-filled book this week at the Milford Public Library.
