William L. “Bill” Hostetter, 97, Nappanee, died Thursday, March 13, 2025, in McAllen, Texas.

He was born Jan. 14, 1928. On Oct. 2, 1949, he married Verna Lou “Nook” Arnott, who preceded him in death in 2000. On May 10, 2002, he married Carolyn (Brewer) Varvel, who survives.

He also is survived by three sons, Gary Hostetter, Sylvania, Ohio, Roger (Marsha) Hostetter, Nappanee, and Chris (Cecilia) Hostetter, Warsaw; two stepdaughters, Cynthia Davis, Marshalltown, Iowa, and Tamara Oliver, Truro, Iowa; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Daniel (Nancy) Hostetter, Paso Robles, Calif.

Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, is handling arrangements.
