INDIANAPOLIS — The cost of a work-related injury — factoring in medical expenses, wages and the challenges of reduced productivity — is roughly $40,000. An upcoming Indiana Chamber of Commerce event aims to equip businesses with strategies to help prevent injuries and maintain low workers’ compensation premium rates. The annual Indiana Workers’ Compensation Conference will take place Wednesday, April 23, at the Ritz Charles in Carmel with a virtual attendance option.
