INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana revenue collections have exceeded recent projections for the third month in a row. The Indiana State Budget Agency reported that General Fund revenues in February were over $1. 3 billion, 7.8% and $90 million higher than December’s financial forecast.
February’s collections were also higher than last February’s by 17.9%.
Higher-than-expected collections, the agency said, were greater than lower-than-expected collections from interest revenues and sales tax.
Corporate tax collections, racino and riverboat wagering collections also surpassed February projections.
Revenues of the year to date total $13.4 billion, 1% above than the same period last year and $150 million higher than December’s predictions.
