Goshen & Dragons Returns With Live Show
News Release
GOSHEN — Get ready for another day of adventuring and community storytelling at the fourth annual Goshen & Dragons.
Tickets are now available for two back-to-back events presented by Goshen & Dragons on Friday and Saturday, March 21 and 22, at the Goshen Theater, 216 S. Main St., Goshen.
New this year: Goshen & Dragons has partnered with Theater Geeks, Dweebs and Weirdos to present a live actual play of Dungeons & Dragons at 7 p.m. Friday, March 21, at the Goshen Theater. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
“This is our first time hosting an actual play event in the Goshen Theater, and we’re really excited to do so with a local D&D show crew,” said Nick Matthews, event organizer.
Theater Geeks, Dweebs and Weirdos describes itself as a group of “local theater geeks [who] play Dungeons & Dragons and maybe some other board games from time to time.”
Members include creatives and artists from around the Michiana region.
On Saturday, March 22, Goshen & Dragons returns with a full day of playing — exclusively — Dungeons & Dragons. Doors open at 9 a.m. The event is open for anyone 12 or older to participate. All participants ages 12-17 will need an adult or guardian to be present during the event.
“We started this event with the hope of networking with others interested in playing Dungeons & Dragons, and what we’ve found is a trove of folks eager to play and build community.” Matthews said. “We’ve had nothing short of the full support from our local and gaming communities.”
Tickets for the event are sold as half-day badges, full-day badges and all-access badges. They can be purchased at https://bit.ly/GnD2025. All badges include a set of dice and access to pre-filled character sheets. See the webpage for price and other information.
Goshen & Dragons helps raise money for Art House, a community-oriented nonprofit organization with the mission to provide creative opportunities for the region’s artists through film, theater, comedy, literature and other art disciplines.
The Goshen Theater is located in the heart of downtown Goshen; participants will have access to a variety of restaurants and bars within a two-block radius any time of the day. Dungeons & Dragons is a tabletop role-playing game that encourages community storytelling guided by the “dungeon master.” While the goal of many games is to score points and win, the goal of D&D is to tell a story, following a set of rules, engaging in improvisation, and leaving some elements to chance by rolling dice.
