Young Receives Subcommittee Chairmanships And Assignments

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Todd Young, R-Ind. announced Monday, March 3, his two subcommittee chairmanships and five additional subcommittee assignments for the 119th Congress.

Sen. Todd Young
Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation:
- Chair, subcommittee on Surface Transportation, Freight, Pipelines and Safety.
- Member, subcommittee on Telecommunications and Media.
- Member, subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Technology and Data Privacy.
- Member, subcommittee on Science, Manufacturing and Competitiveness.
Senate Committee on Finance:
- Chair, subcommittee on Health Care.
- Member, subcommittee on International Trade, Customs and Global Competitiveness.
- Member, subcommittee on Social Security, Pensions and Family Policy.
“I’m honored to serve as chairman and member of these important subcommittees,” said Young. “I look forward to continuing my service on the Commerce and Finance Committees this Congress where I will work with my colleagues on issues important to Hoosiers.”
The Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Subcommittee on Surface Transportation, Freight, Pipelines and Safety has broad jurisdiction over interstate transportation policy issues.
The Senate Finance Subcommittee on Health Care has broad jurisdiction over Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP and the financing and regulation of health care systems.
Young is also a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
