News Release
FORT WAYNE — The Embassy Theatre announces that Steve Martin and Martin Short will bring “The Dukes of Funnytown!” with guests Jeff Babko and the Steep Canyon Rangers to the historic Embassy Theatre at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24. Tickets go on sale to Embassy members 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 5 and to the general public 10 a.m. Friday, March 7.
Martin and Short’s humor is often subversive, but it is always a self-deprecating romp from two comedians driven to make each other laugh as much as the audience. The jokes come at the audience at a rapid-fire pace with little set-up and big punch lines as they mock Hollywood and the fickle nature of celebrity.
Their chemistry and timing on stage reflects a friendship forged over three decades, which developed when Martin and Short met for the first time on the set of the 1986 film Three Amigos. These two titans of comedy have been touring together since 2015, when they launched their first live show entitled “A Very Stupid Conversation.”
Tickets are $76, $96, $135, $155, $195 and $245 plus fees. They can be purchased at Embassy Theater’s website, Ticketmaster and the STAR Bank box office at the Embassy, (260)424-5665, at 125 W. Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne.
