Lilly Center Announces Spring Events

WINONA LAKE — The Lilly Center for Lakes and Streams is gearing up for an exciting lineup of events in 2025, offering residents and visitors opportunities to connect with the community and the beautiful lakes of Kosciusko County.
At 9-11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, the second event in the Lake Talk and Eats series will take place, hosted in partnership with the Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation. Attendees can enjoy a free continental breakfast while learning from experts Scott Fetters, Matt Sandy, Matt Burlingame and Ben Schlipf about protecting local lakes.
The Warsaw Education Foundation‘s Quiz Bowl returns 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 11. This year’s theme, “At the Beach,” promises a lively evening of trivia. Participants are encouraged to gather a team and put their knowledge to the test in this fun and challenging competition.
Expedition: Herpetology Hike offers an immersive experience led by Gavin King 7-8 p.m. Saturday, March 15. This dusk hike will explore the behaviors of amphibians and reptiles in their natural habitat.
Workshop: Native vs. Invasive will be led by guest presenter Alicia Symons 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29. Participants will learn to distinguish between native and non-native plants, explore their ecological impact, and discover management strategies for maintaining healthy landscapes.
The third installment of the Lake Talk and Eats series, titled “Edge of the Lake,” will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, April 5. Hosted in partnership with the Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation, this session will feature discussions on lake science and a complimentary breakfast.
