World Compassion Network To Hold Run Walk For Hunger

WINONA LAKE — The 17th annual World Compassion Network Run Walk for Hunger is set to take place 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at 1590 Park Avenue, Winona Lake. This year, WCN is introducing a 10K race and a free 1-mile fun run alongside its original 10K run, catering to participants of all ages and fitness levels.
As always, 100% of the net proceeds will go to local organizations to help fight poverty. Preregistration ends Saturday, March 1. Shirts guaranteed only to preregistered entries. Race day registration will open at 8:15 a.m. through 9:45 a.m. at the Winona Lake Senior Center, 1500 Park Ave.
The run will be using the Heritage Trail. The Heritage Trail, as stated by Indiana Trails, features water views, town streets, deep woods and several pieces of trailside artwork that interpret the town’s values: kindness, virtue, generosity, community, gathering, beauty, respect, legacy, peace and love.
