Dracula Comedy To Play At Elkhart Civic Theatre

BRISTOL — Elkhart Civic Theatre presents “Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors,” Friday, Feb. 21-22, Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1-2 at the Bristol Opera House, 210 E Vistula Street. The show is directed by John J. Shoup, assisted by Amy Pawlosky.
What would happen if Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire tale was put it into a blender with Mel Brooks, Monty Python, and “The 39 Steps?” That’s just what happens in this lightning-fast, laugh-out-loud, 90-minute romp.
When her sister Mina falls ill with a mysterious disease of the blood, Lucy Westfeldt and her fiancé, Jonathan Harker, enlist the help of famed female vampire hunter Doctor Jean Van Helsing. Their hunt for the dangerous and sexy Count Dracula abounds with clever wordplay and quick-change antics. Five actors play over a dozen roles in this bloodcurdling hilarious send-up of the literary classic.
The cast of “Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors” includes Daniel Grey as Harker et al, Keighdee Spatt as Dr. Westfeldt et al, Leah Tipton as Lucy et al, Zach Rivers as Mina and Van Helsing and Collin Szymanski as Dracula.
