Goshen Man Sustains Life-Threatening Injuries After Fleeing Wakarusa Police

WAKARUSA — A Goshen man sustained life-threatening injuries after fleeing the police in Wakarusa.
Around 7:07 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, Wakarusa Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Miguel Daniel Garica-Eulogio, 35, of Goshen, for moving violations. Garica-Eulogio fled from the Wakarusa Police Department, driving at a high rate of speed, east on CR 40 from SR 19.
Garica-Eulogio struck the rear end of a vehicle driven by Sheryl Weaver, 70, of Goshen, at a high rate of speed, on CR 40 east of CR 9. Garica-Eulogio’s vehicle then left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to a rest on its roof. Garica-Eulogio was ejected from the vehicle.
Garica-Eulogio was transported by ambulance to the South Bend Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
This crash is still under investigation.
