WARSAW — The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Kosciusko County and surrounding areas from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, to 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6.
Freezing rain is expected, with total ice accumulations from five hundredths of an inch to around one tenth of an inch possible.
Difficult travel conditions are possible, with the hazardous conditions possibly impacting the Thursday morning commute.
Slow down and use caution while traveling. A few power outages are possible. Be prepared for slippery roads. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
Other counties under the Winter Weather Advisory include Elkhart, Fulton, Marshall, Noble, Wabash, and Whitley Counties.
