On Dec. 31, 2024, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a report of a woman being assaulted by a man. The woman said she was at a residence with Harkins and a child when Harkins began arguing with a relative.

During the incident, Harkins hit the woman’s upper right arm with her phone. The woman showed the officer a picture of her arm that showed a large amount of redness on her right arm. She said the incident also occurred in front of the child.
In an interview with the officer, Harkins said he and the woman had an argument. He said the woman stood in a doorway, blocking him from leaving the room and that the woman put her hands on him and pushed him. Harkins also said when he handed the woman her phone, it hit her arm.
