Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 7:58 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, South SR 13, south of East CR 1250S, North Manchester. Driver: Amanda Whisman, 43, North CR 700E, Leesburg. Whisman’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 3:09 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 8319 N. Old US 31, Rochester. Drivers: Ryan Hurlburt, 32, Winamac; and Emily Fishburn, 38, Argos. Hurlburt’s vehicle slid and hit another vehicle. No further information.
- 1:41 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 929 Monarch Lane, Rochester. Driver: Bruce Wiard, 51, Rochester. A plow truck hit a vehicle. No further information.
- 10:41 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, Monticello Road, Rochester. Driver: Mackenzie Ellis, 28, Rochester. Ellis’ vehicle slid on ice and hit a fence. Ellis refUSed medics for herself and an unnamed juvenile passenger.
Marshall County
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 3:51 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, US 30 and Queen Road, Marshall County. Drivers: James J. Doyle, 56, address unknown; Victor E. Villanueva Seville, 19, address unknown; and Lexi D. Simpson, 28, address unknown. Doyle was driving a semitrailer eastbound on US 30 at the Queen Road intersection when it struck Villanueva Seville’s vehicle southbound. Villanueva Seville’s vehicle ​struck Simpson’s vehicle traveling northbound. The semitrailer,​ Villanueva Seville’s vehicle and Simpson’s vehicle came to rest in the median. The semitrailer rolled and lost its load across all lanes of eastbound US 30, causing it to be shut down until approximately 9:45 p.m. The two occupants of Simpson’s vehicle were transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital. The only occupant of Villanueva Seville’s vehicle was flown to Memorial. Doyle was uninjured. ​
