Bruner arrested on numerous drug charges in Kosciusko and Elkhart counties

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Erika Jennifer Bruner, 35, with addresses of 11090 N. Wawasee Circle, Cromwell and 3695 N. 100E, Warsaw, has been arrested on three drug charges in Elkhart County and 13 drug related charges in Kosciusko County.
She is currently being held in the Elkhart County Corrections Facility on a $90,000 surety bond. Bond on the Kosciusko County charges are $125,000 surety and cash bond.
Elkhart County charges are possession of cocaine 28 grams or more, a level 3 felony; possession of methamphetamine 10 to 28 grams, a level 3 felony and possession of a firearm by a felon, level 5 felony.
Kosciusko County charges are:
- Dealing meth, more than 10 grams, level 2 felony.
- Dealing in cocaine more than 10 grams, level 2 felony
- Dealing in a fentanyl containing substance, more than 3 grams and less than 7 grams, level 3 felony.
- Dealing in a schedule IV-controlled substance in at least 10 grams and less than 28 grams, level 4 felony.
- Possession of methamphetamine more than 28 grams: level 3 felony.
- Possession of cocaine at least 10 grams and less than 28 grams, level 4 felony.
- Possession of a narcotic drug, level 6 felony.
- Possession or use of a legend drug, level 6 felony.
- Resisting law enforcement, level 6 felony.
- Dealing marijuana, class A misdemeanor.
- Possession of marijuana, class B misdemeanor.
- Dealing marijuana sentence enhancement, level 6 felony.
- Possession of marijuana, class A misdemeanor,
Concerned citizens provided several drug tips to the Kosciusko County Narcotics Enforcement Team that led to an investigation regarding illegal drug activity in Kosciusko County.
The investigation produced the seizure of 2.95 pounds of methamphetamine, 20.01 grams fentanyl, 27.74 grams cocaine, LSD, Xanax, legend drugs, U.S. currency, five firearms, and a Drone used to deliver drugs.
The investigation culminated on Jan. 17 when NET 43, Indiana State Police and Nappanee Police officers arrested Bruner.
NET 43, is a collaborative law enforcement unit consisting of officers from Kosciusko County Prosecutors Office; Indiana State Police; Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office; Warsaw, Winona Lake and the Nappanee police departments, that remains dedicated to the citizens of Kosciusko County.
