Mobile Food Distributions Coming Up In January

SOUTH BEND — The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has set its mobile food distributions for the month of January.
Among distributions in the area will be:
Kosciusko County
- 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Jan. 15, at First Baptist Church, 206 S. Oak St., Mentone. This distribution is provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and will serve 200 households.
Marshall County
- 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Jan. 23, at Bourbon Helping Hands Food Pantry, 204 N. Washington St., Bourbon. This distribution is sponsored by United Way of Marshall County and will serve 200 households.
Assorted food items are offered free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last, for those in need of food assistance. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged. There is a limit of one box or bag per household.
Distributions are drive-thru. Recipients are asked to remain in their vehicle and open their trunk to receive the items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
The Food Bank is grateful to a number of sponsors who help to make the distributions possible, including Citizens Concerned for the Homeless, Costco, Hardesty Memorial Endowment Fund through the Starke County Community Foundation, Kroger and United Way of Marshall County.
