Elkhart County Parks To Host Bluebird Box Workshop
News Release
BRISTOL — Bluebird boxes have come a long way, but Elkhart County Parks is always striving to build the best nesting box possible.
Two tried-and-true designs are the Peterson and Gilwood models. At Elkhart County Parks’ upcoming workshop, participants will build a box that has the features of both the Peterson and Gilwood designs.
All supplies will be provided for registrants to make and take a box home. Elkhart County Parks asks that participants bring a battery operated drill with a Philips head bit. Holes will be predrilled, but drill bits are welcome. A couple drills will be available, if needed.
Preregistration is required. There is a $20 fee. The program is 5-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24.
Meet at the Baldwin One-Room Schoolhouse, located southeast of Bonneyville Mill’s main parking lot on C.R. 131 in Bristol.
