Special Weather Statement Issued For Kosciusko County, Surrounding Areas

WARSAW — A Special Weather Statement has been issued for Kosciusko County and surrounding areas.
The Special Weather Statement is also in effect for Fulton, Marshall, Wabash, and Whitley Counties.
A fast moving area of light snow is expected to move into many areas, especially along and south of US 30. This will arrive mainly after the afternoon commute and linger into the early overnight hours of Thursday, Jan. 2, as it moves east.
The highest accumulations, on the order of 1 to 2 inches, appears most likely along and south of US 24, with lesser amounts north.
If driving tonight, use caution when encountering snow-covered roads.
Lake effect snow showers will bring additional light snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches Friday, Jan. 3, into early Saturday, Jan. 4, heaviest north of US 6.
A winter storm will primarily impact central and southern Indiana on Sunday, Jan. 5, and Monday, Jan. 6.Exact snow totals extending into northern Indiana remain uncertain.
