Caucus Announced For Franklin Township Trustee Board

MENTONE — Due to the appointment of Ann Wiesehan as Franklin Township Trustee, a notice of caucus to fill Wiesehan’s seat on the township board has been announced.
The caucus will take place at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at the Mentone Town Hall and Fire Station, 201 W. Main St.
Eligible members of the caucus, by statutory definition, are the Republican Precinct committee members who have served continuously from 30 days prior to the date of the caucus’ commencement.
The Franklin Township Trustee Board member shall be elected by secret ballot of the majority of members of the voting caucus to fill the vacancy in the office. Candidates must reside in Franklin Township, Kosciusko County, and be a Republican in good standing.
Declarations of candidacy are available at the office of Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw, and must be filed with Kosciusko County Republican Central Committee Chairman Mike Ragan no later than 72 hours prior to the commencement of the caucus.
Eligible candidates will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to address the voting caucus.
