NAPPANEE – Warsaw produced championship material during the 2021 fall athletic seasons, and currently sits first in the Northern Lakes Conference All-Sports Tally.
The Warsaw girls split championship titles with Goshen in soccer and with Northridge in cross country and put together runner-up performances in volleyball and golf to compile 57 points. The Tiger boys had a title in soccer and a runner-up in football along with a third in cross country and fourth in tennis to build 52 points and the top spot.
Warsaw isn’t in the clear by any measure on either side, though, as NorthWood is right on the Lady Tigers’ heels and Concord is chasing the Warsaw boys.
The Lady Panthers won the golf and volleyball titles and were fourth in both cross country and soccer to score 54 points to be within striking distance of Warsaw. The Minutemen won football, were second in soccer and third in tennis. A fifth in cross country put Concord at 50 and just two back of Warsaw. Also in the conversation in the boys race are Goshen, which won cross country and tennis, and have 49 points and Northridge, which split tennis with Goshen, and sit with 45 points.
The girls standings currently sit at:
Warsaw 57, NorthWood 54, Plymouth 39, Northridge 37, Concord 33, Goshen 25, Mishawaka 24, Wawasee 19
The boys standings currently sit at:
Warsaw 52, Concord 50, Goshen 49, Northridge 45, NorthWood 30, Mishawaka 24, Plymouth 22, Wawasee 16
