Wawasee 3, NorthWood 2
On the final day of the Northern Lakes Conference regular season, Wawasee earned the point at one doubles to claim the match over the visiting Panthers.
A reshuffled lineup for Wawasee had Jeb Richey at No. 1 singles, but lost to Nic Anderson 6-4, 6-3 in his first varsity appearance at No. 1 singles. Karson Kirby got the other point for the Panthers with a three and love win against Jay Duncan at No. 3 singles.
Zeke Keim got the other point in singles play for the Warriors, a 6-4, 6-2 win against Wes Steiner. Devon Kuhn and Ty Brooks outlasted Charles Anderson and Isaac Roberts at two doubles, 6-3, 7-5. In the clincher, Grant Brooks and Holden Babb took out Brady Chupp and Chaz Yoder 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.
Caleb Yoder and Ryker Cisney had JV wins for the Panthers, Will Long one for the Warriors.
Both teams moves to the NLC Championships on Wednesday, round one at Plymouth.
Concord 3, Warsaw 2
A long night of tennis between longtime rivals had Concord pull out the point on the final court.
The two doubles duo of Sam West and Andrew Kavanagh held off Jack Reed and Khareus Miller 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 well into the third hour of play to give the Minutemen the match.
Concord also got singles wins from Nathan Schraw, 7-6 and 6-4, over Tristan Anderson, and from Mitchell Whitehead, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, against Wil Boren.
Warsaw countered with a 6-1, 6-4 win from Keller Bailey over Avery Johnson and a 6-3, 6-2 win from Zach Nicholas and Nick Boren over Thomas Burkert and Ethan Kavanagh.
