GOSHEN — For the 11th year in a row, the Goshen community spread generosity through the Everence winter clothing and food drive to benefit The Window in Goshen.
Started in 2013 by then-branch manager Tim Martin, the initiative has continued to grow each year. Martin had a passion for the community and though he died in the winter of 2017, the clothing drive has continued as one of his legacies.
Between the Friday after Thanksgiving and the Friday before Christmas, winter clothing, blankets and nonperishable food items were collected at the Everence locations in Goshen. “The community blessed us with a huge increase of clothing donations this year,” according to a news release from Everence.
On Dec. 23, all items were delivered to The Window, a nonprofit, faith-based organization that provides services to meet the needs of those who have limited income.
Everence offers banking, insurance and financial services to help individuals, organizations and congregations integrate faith and finances.
