Colvin Arrested For Allegedly Battering, Strangling Woman

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested for allegedly battering and strangling a woman.
Ethan Daniel Colvin, 24, 2545 W. 250S, Warsaw, is charged with strangulation and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, both level 6 felonies; domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor; and criminal mischief, a class B misdemeanor.
On Dec. 8, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a domestic complaint at a residence in Warsaw. A woman said Colvin strangled her.
According to court documents, the woman said she and Colvin had a verbal argument that turned physical when Colvin grabbed her by the neck and squeezed. Colvin also allegedly grabbed the woman’s left shoulder and threw her to the ground. Deputies noticed red marks on both sides of the woman’s neck and on her left shoulder. They also noticed scratches on the woman’s wrist and that her voice was very raspy and broken.
The woman said she grabbed a cellphone to call 911 when Colvin grabbed her wrist and threw the cellphone to the ground, causing its screen to shatter.
Deputies attempted to speak with Colvin, who was abrasive and visibly intoxicated. Colvin refused to speak with law enforcement.
Colvin has already been arrested and released on bond.
