Milford Library Has a letter drop-off for Santa

Write a letter to Santa. Milford Public Library Staff have volunteered to help Santa this year by being a drop-off for letters to Santa. MILFORD — Would you like to send a letter to Santa? This year the Milford Public Library is a letter drop-off for Santa Claus. Milford Public Library has a very special (red) mailbox in the children’s department to collect letters for Santa.
Those who need some help with their letter, the library staff also has a form letter to use. From Dec. 2-Dec. 14, drop a letter off in the children’s department. Santa is very busy this time of year, but the staff will make sure he gets the letter.
Afternoon Knitting Club
Join the Knitting Club from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5. All skill levels are welcome: from beginner to expert. Share design ideas, find new stiches you’re interested in and enjoy socializing with like-minded hobbyists.
December LEGO Crew Challenge
LEGO Crew is starting Dec. 1 and the theme this month is a Star. Submit a picture of a LEGO star build to [email protected] for a chance to win an amazing LEGO prize. Lego Crew’s star challenge ends Dec. 26. Need ideas? Check out the library’s LEGO books, “The Unofficial LEGO Builder’s Guide” by Allan Bedford or LEGO awesome ideas book by Daniel Lipowitz.
LEGO Saturday
LEGO Saturday will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Children ages 15 and under are welcome to come to the library and use the LEGO blocks to build whatever they like. Older siblings and parents are invited to come and work with their child on their creations!
The North Pole Visits
From 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Milford Community Building, be sure to come to the Animals of the North Pole program. This is a free program for all ages. Santa’s elf, Jingle John, will come and tell us about animals from the North Pole. Everyone will get an opportunity to meet and pet a young reindeer. Bring cameras for this photo opportunity.
Christmas Escape Room
Dec. 16-20, 23, 26 and 27, Lincoln Stoller, a Wawasee student in the Passion Project class, will present a Christmas Escape Room for Milford families. This escape room is Lincoln’s project. He has come up with the clues, etc. The escape room will be located in the library’s rental building at 109 W. Catherine St. Families can sign up for a time at the adult circulation desk beginning on Dec. 9. This is a free holiday activity for the whole family, so be sure to sign up to go through the escape room.
Collecting Nonperishable Food
Thanks to everyone who donated items to the Milford Food Bank during the month of November. Your donations do make a difference. Milford Public Library will be accepting donations of nonperishable food and other items for the month of December. These donations will go to the Milford Food Pantry. Hygiene products are also needed. Bring donations to the library and place it in the donation box at either circulation desk. Thanks for sharing with others over the holidays.
