Barbara Ann Clark Hofer, 82, formerly of South Whitley, died unexpectedly at 9:06 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at Parkview Noble, Kendallville.

She was born Feb. 5, 1942. On Nov. 9, 1958, she married Howard F. Clark Jr., who preceded her in death in 1989. On Aug. 17, 1991, she married the Rev. John E. Hofer, who preceded her in death Sept. 2, 2024.

She is survived by her children, Mark Clark, South Whitley, Jim Clark, Indianapolis, and Christopher (Terri) Clark, Avilla; stepchildren, Mark (Joyce) Hofer, Goshen, Michael Hofer, Fort Wayne, and Martin “Herb” (Tammy) Hofer, Valparaiso; 17 grandchildren; brothers, Michael (Tina) Ciolkos, Angola, and Thomas (Jill) Schee, Westby, Wis.; and a brother-in-law, Nelson Langefeld, Cincinnati.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home, South Whitley, is handling arrangements.
