Larry L. ‘Bub’ Shock
Larry Lester “Bub” Shock, 80, a lifetime North Webster resident, passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 24, 1944, in Warsaw, to Lester and Romayne (Coy) Shock. He graduated from North Webster High School in 1963. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served honorably for four years. He went on to work for GTI/Dana Corp., where he retired. He was a lifetime member of the North Webster American Legion Post 253, where he served as sergeant at arms for many years.
He is survived by his two daughters, Pam (Brad) Glanders-Nelson, New Paris, and Kristy Peel, Goshen; three grandchildren, Audrey (Luke) Devers, Kiara (Darren) LeCount and Steven Lester Peel; five great-grandchildren; one niece; and three nephews. He was preceded by his sister, Sandra Heck. He was formerly married to Suzanne Minnick, who also survives.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the McClintic Cemetery in Syracuse, with military honors by the USMC and North Webster American Legion Post 253. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Webster American Legion Post 253, 756 S. SR 13, North Webster, IN 46555.
