William T. Flannery
William T. Flannery, 79, of Warsaw, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, at Masons Health and Rehab Center.
William was born on July 19, 1945, at home, in Kattie Friend, Ky., to William and Janette (Crider) Flannery. On Oct. 18, 1996, he married Tracy Shipley in Warsaw.
William proudly served in the United States Army as a medic during Vietnam.
He worked as a nurse, a coal miner and, lastly, as a janitor at Warsaw High School. William was a private person but liked going to American Legion Posts 49 and 253. He enjoyed reading, watching “Star Wars” and “The Lord of the Rings.” He loved spending quality time with his daughters.
William will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Tracy Flannery, of Warsaw; daughters, Janice Flannery and Heather Conley, both of Prestonsburg, Ky.; granddaughter, Kennedy Watkins; one great-grandson; sister, Ann Davis, of Prestonsburg, Ky.; sister-in-law, Lisa Shipley; brother-in-law, Tim Shipley; niece, Tiffany Taylor; nephew, Jay Shipley; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in passing by both parents; brothers, Marion and Phillip Flannery; and ex-wife and friend, Delores Gail Lawson.
Per William’s wishes, there will be no services.
