Caroline “Sue” Gardner, 85, Pierceton, died at 1:43 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at Parkview Whitley Hospital.

She was born Aug. 12, 1939. In 1975, she married Robert E. Gardner, who preceded her in death in 2000.

She is survived by her sons, James (Tina) Davenport, Monument, Ore., Denny (Patricia) Davenport, Oklahoma City, Okla., Scott (Pam) Gardner, Cookeville, Tenn., and Terry (Felisity) Gardner, South Whitley; a stepson, David (Cathy) Gardner, Columbia City; a stepdaughter, Diane (Denny) Sheets, Columbia City; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Penny J. Middleton, Lafayette.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, is handling arrangements.
