News Release

NORTH WEBSTER — Christopher L. Rinehart, 44, North Webster, died as a result of his injuries following a single vehicle crash on Old Road 30, approximately 200 feet east of Old Trail Road. The crash was reported at 7:54 a.m. today, Monday, Nov. 18.

Rinehart was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene and located a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado pick up truck pulling an enclosed trailer driven by Rinehart.

Preliminary investigation determined Rinehart was westbound on Old Road 30 and was proceeding through a curve. For an unknown reason, Rinehart’s vehicle left the northside of the roadway, came back on the roadway and then proceeded across the eastbound lanes.

The vehicle continued down a ditch on the southside of the roadway, hitting a tree.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Pierceton Fire Department, Tippecanoe Township Fire Territory EMS, Lutheran EMS, Crouse Wrecker Service, and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County F.A.C.T. Team.
