Warsaw Woman Named To Braun Transition Council

INDIANAPOLIS — Governor-elect Mike Braun announced Friday, Nov. 15, the formation of transition councils, along with their appointed leadership and members, to guide state agency reviews, drive policy development across Indiana’s government and prepare the Braun administration to implement a “bold agenda” from day one.
Kristi Ormsby, Warsaw, has been named as a member of the Lieutenant Governor-Elect Transition Council.
The Lieutenant Governor-Elect Transition Council is focused on growing Indiana’s agriculture industry by supporting producers, expanding markets and helping farmers pass their way of life to the next generation. The council is also focused on strengthening rural communities by reducing regulatory burdens and streamlining the grant application process through the Office of Community and Rural Development.
The chairman of the council is Sherry Ellis, chief of staff designee for Lieutenant Governor-elect Micah Beckwith and campaign manager for the Micah for lieutenant governor campaign.
Ormsby will serve on the council along with Joseph Bortka, John Crabtree, Max Engling, Dina Ferchmin, Jodi Golden, Omar Habayeb, Bill Konyha, Sovilla Mennen, Jessica Messler, Gregg Puls, Erin Sheridan and Eric Turner.
Other transition councils have been established for business affairs, commerce, constituent services, education, efficiency and modernization, energy and natural resources, health and family services, local and municipal affairs, management and budget, public safety and transportation and infrastructure.
