Warsaw Man Arrested For Domestic Battery, Invasion Of Privacy

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman who had a no-contact order against him.
Gerardo Gonzalez Ahualt, 21, 3699 N. 175E Lot 85, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery and invasion of privacy, both class A misdemeanors.
On Oct. 5, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy spoke with a woman who said Gonzalez Ahualt hit her throughout the week, causing marks to her arms and chest. The deputy noticed several old injuries on the woman’s arms and chest.
According to court documents, on Oct. 5, the woman alleged Gonzalez Ahualt hit her and pulled her hair. This caused the woman to fall backward while she was holding a child. The deputy noticed fresh injuries on the woman’s elbows and fingers.
Gonzalez Ahualt told the deputy his verbal argument with the woman turned physical when they both scratched each other. The deputy did not notice any injuries on Gonzalez Ahualt.
Prior to this incident, Gonzalez Ahualt was issued a no-contact order prohibiting him from contacting the woman in any manner.
Gonzalez Ahualt has already been arrested and released on bond. He has an initial hearing at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in Kosciusko Superior Court Two.
